John Slof, DIRECTOR
John Slof is associate professor (professor agregat) in the area of Financial Economics and Accounting at the Department of Business of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, after previous positions in academia and consulting at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Health Outcomes Research Europe. He holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology and a PhD in Business Administration from IESE Business School. His main research interests are health economics and management accounting and control. His latest publications have appeared in the European Journal of Health Economics, the International Journal of Cardiology, and Expert Review of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research. He also served as reviewer for different academic journals. While Dr. Slof has teaching experience in different areas of accounting and finance, his current commitments concentrate mainly on cost accounting and management control.

Joan Anton Camuñas
Holds a MBA from ESADE Business School (Barcelona). He also holds a degree in Philosophy and Psychology from Universitat de Barcelona, and a doctoral degree in Law from Université de Montpellier (France). Miguel Angel Garcia Cestona
Professor of Managerial Economics at Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (UAB). He graduated from Universidad de Zaragoza and holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, GSB. He is currently the coordinator of the DEMO Doctoral Program at UAB. Visiting fellow in ITAM, Kobe University, and Copenhaguen Business School. His research interests are in the fields of corporate governance, comparative institutional analysis and the theory of the firm. Stefan Felix van Hemmen
Associate professor at the Department of Business of UAB. He Focusses on financial contracts and business insolvency, producing statistics on pre-bankruptcy and bankruptcy procedures of legal entities and natural persons (fresh start). Myriam Hikimura
Born in Mexico where she studied Industrial Engineering (Tec de Monterrey) and a Master in Business Administration at Escuela de Graduados en Administracion y Direccion de Empresas (EGADE). She worked for the Expansion Department for Latin America for Tec de Monterrey, and in 2003 she moved to Barcelona for continuing studying. At 2005, she got a Master in Research at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, and started teaching at the Bellatera Campus (UAB) in the field in Marketing. Since 2007 she has been teaching at different universities (Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, CEA-University of New Haven, Arcadia University, Toulouse Business School, among others), specializing in Finance, Marketing, and Business, for undergraduate and graduate programs.
Gabriel Izard
Holds a degree in Economics and a doctorate by the UAB. He also has a PDD degree from IESE Business School. He has taught at UAB since the 1990’s, on topics related to Distribution Channel Management, in the Marketing area of the Department of Business. Joan Llonch
Started his professional career working in the marketing area of multinationals firms as Unilever, Henkel and Bayer Group.
